このボードのデザインと設計においてはC.J.ネルソンが乗っていたものに新鮮で斬新なアプローチをもたらしたいと思っていました。
様々なサイズのNauseaモデルをいくつか制作した後、この新しい板において何をしたいのかが明確に頭のなかにありました。
Guerreroモデルはとても新鮮でエキサイティングな板になりました。
まずNauseaモデルで採用されていたロッカーを使いフロントエンドにさらなるリフトアップを加えることでノーズを保持し、前方からのより安定的で正確なコントロールと後方からのドライブを実現しています。
アウトラインはオージーお気に入りの60年代後期のもの。
イヤーを前方に引っ張り、センターのすぐ後ろからヒップへと。ボードの前1/3を通る本格的なコンケーブは腹にかけてブレンドされていきます。
レールはコントロールのために端を切ったフィンにつづくVセクションへと続き60/40よりも少し下がっています。9’2から10’2までのサイズが選択可能です。
In designing and shaping this board i wanted to bring a totally fresh approach to what CJ has been riding. After making a few Nausea model's in various sizes and with a few tweaks I had a solid idea what i wanted to do with this board. The Guerrero model is something fresh and exciting. Starting with the rocker used in the Dead Kooks Nausea model we added some extra lift in the front end giving a nice clean and consistent rocker curve providing hold on the nose, stable and fast trim from a forward position and precise control and drive from the rear. The outline is a nod to some late 60's Australian favourites, pulling in the ears out front and carrying width just behind center providing a nice hip. There is a pretty serious amount of concave that runs through the front third of the board, narrow and blended into the belly as it runs out into the rest of the board. The rails are a noticeably a little lower more a 60/40 running into a panelled V section leading into the fin with a dash of edge for control, direct feel under foot and a little flair.
